Father’s Day: Gift Guide

It’s that time of year where it’s time to spoil our dads or the father figures in our lives. Fathers can sometimes be a little trickier to pick out a gift for, but we know from our customers that a Hanna Hat always goes down a treat. We have something to suit all tastes and ages, each piece is a luxurious handcrafted gift, perfect for someone special like your father. Our pieces are designed to last and many of them become family heirlooms. We often get messages from people telling us that their Hanna Hat was a treasured piece handed down from beloved father or grandfather that is so special to them. 

In this blog, we will highlight key pieces from our collection we think your dad would be delighted to receive this Father’s Day.

Since we’re at the beginning of the summer, we’ll start with our linen caps. Linen is a natural breathable fabric so it would be a perfect companion for summer strolls. Linen is the ideal fabric to wear in warmer climates as it transmits sun away from the wearer leaving them nice and cool.

Vintage Cap Linen

Our Vintage Cap Linen is a traditional flat cap, with a full-bodied fit, with a flat peak and a concealed stud-button. The Vintage Cap Linen is available in a collection of plain and patterned linens including: Navy, Natural (pictured above), Khaki, Black and Sky Blue & White Glen Check. We've also added new colours for 2024: Brown, Charcoal, and Blue & Navy Glen Check which we're sure you're going to love. Donegal Touring Cap Linen

The Donegal Touring Cap Linen is a streamlined, tailored fit cap ideal for those who prefer a slimmer silhouette. The style sports an integrated, stitched-down curved peak and a deep back for a secure fit. This linen flat cap is the perfect golf course companion, it will keep you cool all the way to the 18^th hole. Our Donegal Touring Cap Linen is available in a variety of classic linens: Navy (pictured above), Natural, Khaki, Black and Sky Blue & White Glen Check.

The Donegal Touring Cap is also available in a Donegal Touring Cap Patchwork Linen and Donegal Touring Cap Patchwork Grey/Blue Linen if you want to make more of a statement with your linen cap. 

Pork Pie Hat Linen

In addition to our linen flat caps, we've also reintroduced our Pork Pie Hat Linen. If your Dad is looking for a linen bucket hat with a brim, rather than a linen cap, then this is the hat for him. This hat has 4 eyelets to keep you cool and a brim to protect you from the sun. It's a crushable hat which is foldable, so it's perfect to bring on trips this summer. Our Pork Pie Hat Linen is available in a selection of seven colours, including Natural featured in the above photo, this colour is proving to be popular with our customers since the hat's relaunch. 

Newsboy Caps 

If your father is a Peaky Blinders fan, then he might prefer a newsboy cap to a flat cap. The newsboy cap is a classic style inspired by newspaper boys and girls of the 1920's and 1930's, our Newsboy Caps resemble an old spinning wheel used to create yarn from fleece.

We have a few different styles in our Newsboy Collection; our Eight Piece Cap Tweed , JP Cap Tweed and Connery Cap Tweed would be perfect gift for Father’s Day. Skipper Cap Tweed

If your dad loves fishing, boating or just the sea in general then our Skipper Cap Tweed may be the one for him. This cap is based on the traditional mariner style, the spherical body with voluminous crown features a high centre band providing a secure fit, and a generous flat peak which shields the face from the sun, rain, and the wind. We have a lovely collection of tweeds in this style, plain tweeds, herringbones and salt and peppers.

Now, if your Dad is more of a hat man than a cap man, our Walking Hat Tweed or Eske Travel Hat Tweed may be more his style. Both hats are available in a variety of luxurious tweeds.
