The Eight Piece Panel Cap is our fullest-body cap style in the Newsboy Collection. The voluminous style is comprised of 8 panels or pieces which symbolise a spinning wheel wheel traditionally used to make fleece into yarn.
Material
Each piece is crafted using authentic, high-quality Irish & Scottish Harris woollen tweeds. Wool is an ideal, natural fabric for headwear as it naturally warm, breathable, stain resistant, crease resistant and above all eco-friendly.
Whether looking for a traditional herringbone tweed, or perhaps a famous Salt & Pepper tweed with vibrant colourful flecks, the extensive Hanna Hats Eight Piece Newsboy Cap Collection offers a myriad of choice.

The cap was traditionally worn by newspaper boys and girls in the 1920’s and 1930’s, hence the name it is most commonly known by, and today it is worn by celebrities and fashionistas the world over.

Excellent quality!
What I especially appreciate is that this cap stays true to its heritage and has been faithfully reproduced according to traditional design and craftsmanship. Nowadays, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find caps that follow classic traditional patterns, as many manufacturers tend to modernize their designs.
This is my third cap from Hanna Hats of Donegal, and I couldn’t be happier. It’s wonderful to see a company that continues to honor and preserve these traditions.

I just love the Newsboys and Connery caps. They look stunning and it always feels so good wearing them. This time I chose the Brown & Gold Herringbone variety. Absolutely gorgeous :-)) And the make and quality are as impeccable as ever. Unfortunately it runs just a tad smaller than all the other XL Hanna hats I have. No big deal but it makes me wonder whether I should switch to 2XL for my next Hanna Hat.

Absolutely lovely piece of craftsmanship. My first cap of any kind, really, I thought I'd take the plunge on a nice piece I knew I would love to wear and would last. Perfect for the colder rainy days here in the Netherlands, but also breathable enough for the sunnier days when you want to keep the sun out of your eyes. This is my fourth such hat. I always like a leather head band and a ribbon tie at the back of the band so I usually buy one size to large and fit a band. But I also like a large floppy hat. This is an xxl, two sizes too large, which gives a 1/2 inch extra cap diameter. Every cap has it's own lie, due to material thickness and individuality of sewing. This is my first to naturally fall to the right. It is great.

Love this cap - flecked dark blue Irish tweed with a burgundy lining. It is noticeably softer and ‘floppier’ than Harris tweed caps that I have. Measured my head as 59 cm and the M size fits perfectly. Dispatched mid-afternoon and arrived in Worcester before 1 pm next day, courtesy Royal Mail. Excellent product and service. Will buy again!
