Created in the 1960’s and very close in design to the very first Hanna Hat ever made by founder David Hanna, our Walking Hat style is handcrafted by our specialist hat team in Donegal, Ireland and remains our most popular hat style.
The Walking Hat in showerproof, Irish cotton wax is a practical style ideal for walking, hunting, foraging, and fishing.
The structured body and brim ensure a secure and comfortable fit, whilst the cotton lining and metal eyelets on the body provide breathability for a comfortable wearing experience.

Got this as a gift for my husband and he loves it! The inner lining is softer than I imagined and in fact the whole hat is softer than I imagined! Still stiff and holds it's shape well but has a nice feel. Looks great, fits great, and the husband wears it all the time!

My fifth Hanna hat, I like this for going out on grey, rainy days - it fits like a glove and the band inside is very comfortable. Like all my other Hanna hats, the quality and workmanship is unparalleled. Don’t change anything you do!

This is a fairly ridgid hat, not a crusher. The hat is stitched very well, and has a somewhat universal fit headband that stretches for the perfect fit. I get compliments on the hat nearly every time I wear it.

Great hat as always
In Minnesota I love that I can transition this hat for three seasons (haven't tried the fourth, but I may need to go warmer!) This hat keeps my head and glasses dry. And just the way that I feel when I wear it...reminds me that my people are from Donegal. It connects me ancestorally.

Great hat. I wear it walking my dog, we live in Australia. People have asked me … where did you get that hat! I tell them, it comes from Ireland, perhaps it brings the luck of the Irish with it. Love the hat.
