Our bestselling Vintage Cap Tweed has received an upgrade and now features Ear Flaps for those colder days. Made from luxurious tweeds, this cap is reflective of the colours naturally found in the Donegal countryside.
Choose your regular size if you prefer wearing the cap with the ear flaps out. If you plan on switching between tucking the flaps in and out, we recommend one size up for a flexible fit.
Please note that due to different screens and devices, the colours of cloths may vary slightly.

Every piece is handmade, so allow 5–15 working days for production before dispatch. Delivery times below count from dispatch.

Exchanges and returns
You can return or exchange items within 30 days of receiving them (Europe, USA and Canada). Items must be unworn, in original condition, with all tags and labels attached. Regular-priced items can be returned or exchanged. Sale items are exchange only. Custom-made items (size or colour) can't be returned or exchanged.

Postage is at your cost unless the error was ours. The item stays your responsibility until it reaches the workshop, so keep your proof of postage.
To start, email info@hannahats.com with the item and your reason. We'll send a payment link for the postage charge, then a returns label within 24 hours. Print the label and the three invoices, and attach the invoices to the outside of the box to avoid duties and taxes. Returns without the Returns Form may not be processed.
Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method, minus the original shipping cost. UK, Northern Ireland and rest-of-world customers should email info@hannahats.com for a tailored policy.

- Products should be stored in cool, dry, airy conditions and not exposed to direct sunlight.
- Wool products are naturally water repellent and resistant, but not fully waterproof. Should your cap/hat get soaked, we would recommend putting a small towel inside the cap/hat, place it on a towel and allow it to dry naturally indoors, away from any heat source.
- Products should not be machine washed or tumble dried.
- Products should not be treated with substances (e.g.) starch, soaps, sprays.
- Products should be dry cleaned only using a delicate cycle with less moisture.
- If creasing occurs, you can press your cap at home using an iron on a medium to high heat, you can see a video showing you how to do on our Headwear Product Care page

I bought this hat specifically as a winter option to a knit cap. The hat fits with the ear flaps tucked up, and works quite well to keep me warm with the flaps down.

This is my 3rd Hanna Hats piece, and I love it. For those buying for the first time - the shape and fit will improve significantly after you wear it for a while. When I first received this cap, I almost was disappointed as it did not sit well on me. But that was new wool, after I wore it, it took my shape, and started to sit perfectly. Now it's a favorite cap of mine.

Love these Hanna hats. My son brought one back to me after a visit to Ireland. Since then, I've ordered three more for my wife and myself. I can order from retailers in the States, but I prefer to order direct from Ireland. It makes me feel like I'm somehow connecting with the land of my ancestors. On my last order, somehow the wrong size was shipped to me. Before it arrived, I received a telephone message and a follow-up-email from a lovely lady named Brenda informing me of the mistake and letting me know the correct size would be on the way shortly. This is my first Hannah Hats cap and my first classic cap in general. I am very glad that I got the product of this particular brand. My wife, son and friends were a little surprised by my choice of headgear (after all, not many people of my age here in Saint Petersburg wear such hats), but they all said that the cap is excellent and suits me well. In addition, it reminds me of my first visit to Ireland in the autumn of 2012, when I wandered alone through the evening streets of Dublin after the rain, and then traveled around the entire island on a motorcycle. Cap color - Country Green Herringbone with Tan Overcheck is chic (the staff took my request for it by email). There is only one small downside with the cap, I'd say - the foldable flaps do not hold very well inside when you want to wear the cap without the flaps. I expected them to be a bit tighter inside, but I have to specifically fold them in with my hands every time I put the cap on. Other than that, the cap is awesome!

My fifth Hanna Hat. I wanted something that would keep the 'lugholes' warm in winter, so the flat cap with earflaps fits the bill nicely. Tom sorted out my request to get it in a 'Granite Grey Salt & Pepper' tweed. Also, the flaps tuck nicely away when the weather's more amenable!

I was concerned that the hat wouldn't fit properly with the ear flaps tucked. Likewise with the earflaps down. I had sent a message to Hanna Hats asking for what size to order. They got it exactly right. It's a little warm to be wearing right now (August) but it'll be getting use before long.

The hat provides just the cold weather protection I need. i need the ear flaps between 4.5 degrees C and -24 degrees C. It wears quite comfortably in that range and it looks good.

Grateful that it was shipped quickly and in time for Christmas. Communication and customer service was exceptionally great. This is the second hat with the ear flaps that were purchased. Only issue is that the flaps need to be pressed better to keep the hat band shape better. Maybe something to keep the flaps up and secure when not in use would be a good consideration. Follow the advice to go 1 size larger than your normal size for a better fit with the ear flaps folded in. Got this to replace one I have in my usual size. Fits perfect!

This is a great and useful cap. Comfortable, sized correctly for my giant noggin, and good looking. The ear flags are useful on a cool day. That said, I wish there were snaps or ties on the inside to keep the flaps fully out of the way when tucked in. They slip a bit, making one's profile look a little bit like one has intakes for jet engines on the sides of one's temple. But a great hat overall.

It's lightweight enough to wear during most of the year. The flap is great to cover ears if needed. Bought to cover earing aids if it rains. So, I am happy with the overall look as well .
Flaps do not hug the ear. Oversized looking be it the flaps in are tucked. Does not help keeping the ears warm.

Excellent quality. I bought XL size and it is a little small from me, but still fit. I do have others Hanna where size fits just wright.

I bought this hat just for those extra cold days and nights when you need a little something extra to keep you warm and the ear flaps on this hat do that for me. The hat itself is pleasurable to wear, then add on the extra material that covers your ears and it makes this hat a must have for colder temperatures. I'm happy I made this purchase.
The fabric feels a bit thinner than my husband's Mucros hat.
