The Donegal Touring Cap is a streamlined, tailored fit cap ideal for those who prefer a slimmer silhouette. The style sports an integrated, stitched-down curved peak and a deep back for a secure fit.
This style is inspired by the long-ago common sight of men riding their bikes whilst going on social and work errands. Whereas we do not recommend our Donegal Touring cap for cycling these days, it is ideal for keeping the sun from your eyes and keeping your head dry as you go for walks, run errands, and take leisurely drives.
Ideal for warmer days each piece is crafted using authentic, high-quality Irish linens in a contemporary combination of grey and blue tones, expertly stitched together using the ancient craft of quilting. Historically, quilted fabric was made from the salvageable parts of old clothing or blankets which were recycled to create a new patchwork fabric.

The hat frequently draws complements, from women and men equally. It is a pleasure to wear. The size large is quite loose fitting, a change from previously purchased hats from Hanna. The US tariff added to the price is discouraging.

If you want the best, buy a Hanna cap, nothing else comes close to the quality, fit, and function. I purchased this limited run patchwork linen Donegal cap for an outdoor summer wedding to go with my suit. I must say that I received just as many compliments on my cap as the bride did on her dress. Next purchase will be a new wool patchwork Donegal cap to replace my everyday work cap which finally wore through after years in the field.

Have had a Herringbone pattern tweed cap for untold years, hate putting it away when it gets too warm. Now I have my summer version in my most worn colors, same exact fit. Does not get hot in the sun as a ball cap does, exactly as I hoped!
