The Donegal Touring Cap is a streamlined, tailored fit cap ideal for those who prefer a slimmer silhouette. The style sports an integrated, stitched-down curved peak and a deep back for a secure fit.
This style is inspired by the long-ago common sight of men riding their bikes whilst going on social and work errands. Whereas we do not recommend our Donegal Touring cap for cycling these days, it is ideal for keeping the sun from your eyes and keeping your head dry as you go for walks, run errands, and take leisurely drives.
Ideal for warmer days each piece is crafted using authentic, high-quality Irish linens in a contemporary combination of grey and blue tones, expertly stitched together using the ancient craft of quilting. Historically, quilted fabric was made from the salvageable parts of old clothing or blankets which were recycled to create a new patchwork fabric.
Please note that as each patchwork cap is unique it will vary from the photograph.

Materials & Craft
Linen, which is made from the flax plant recognised by its “wee blue blossom”, has a long history in Ireland stretching back to the 1st millennium, and it was one of the main industries during the plantation of Ulster from the 1600’s. There are only a handful of mills producing Irish Linen today, and we are proud to support this ancient industry.

Ireland: UPS Standard, 1–3 working days. Free on orders over €55.
UK: Royal Mail, 2–3 working days, €9.00
Europe: UPS Standard, 3–7 working days, €13.95
USA: UPS Priority, 2–5 working days, €12.95
Canada: UPS Priority, 2–10 working days, €16.95
Rest of world: UPS Priority, 5–15 working days, €29.95
Delivery times are estimates and can vary with location and customs. Orders to the UK, EU, Canada and USA are Delivered Duty Paid, so the price you pay is the final price. Exchanges and returns
You can return or exchange items within 30 days of receiving them (Europe, USA and Canada). Items must be unworn, in original condition, with all tags and labels attached. Regular-priced items can be returned or exchanged. Sale items are exchange only. Custom-made items (size or colour) can't be returned or exchanged.

Ireland: free (An Post)
Europe: €16.00 (UPS)
USA and Canada: €24.95 (UPS)
Postage is at your cost unless the error was ours. The item stays your responsibility until it reaches the workshop, so keep your proof of postage.
To start, email info@hannahats.com with the item and your reason. We'll send a payment link for the postage charge, then a returns label within 24 hours. Print the label and the three invoices, and attach the invoices to the outside of the box to avoid duties and taxes. Returns without the Returns Form may not be processed.
Approved returns are refunded to your original payment method, minus the original shipping cost. UK, Northern Ireland and rest-of-world customers should email info@hannahats.com for a tailored policy.

Product Care
- Products should be stored in cool, dry, airy conditions and not exposed to direct sunlight.
- These caps/hats are shower/rain resistant. Should your cap/hat get soaked, we would recommend putting a small towel inside the cap/hat, place it on a towel and allow it to dry naturally indoors, away from any heat source.
- Products should not be machine washed or tumble dried.
- Products should not be treated with substances (e.g.) starch, soaps, sprays.
- Products should be dry cleaned only using a delicate cycle with less moisture.
- If creasing occurs, you can press your cap at home using an iron on a medium to high heat, you can see a video showing you how on our Headwear Product Care page.

The hat frequently draws complements, from women and men equally. It is a pleasure to wear. The size large is quite loose fitting, a change from previously purchased hats from Hanna. The US tariff added to the price is discouraging.

If you want the best, buy a Hanna cap, nothing else comes close to the quality, fit, and function. I purchased this limited run patchwork linen Donegal cap for an outdoor summer wedding to go with my suit. I must say that I received just as many compliments on my cap as the bride did on her dress. Next purchase will be a new wool patchwork Donegal cap to replace my everyday work cap which finally wore through after years in the field.

Have had a Herringbone pattern tweed cap for untold years, hate putting it away when it gets too warm. Now I have my summer version in my most worn colors, same exact fit. Does not get hot in the sun as a ball cap does, exactly as I hoped!
