Learn the skills and creativity required to develop the world-famous Hanna Hats while learning the history and heritage of this 100-year-old Irish family business. Get up close and personal with Irish craftspeople and watch in awe as you are taken through each stage of designing and creating these beautiful masterpieces. Guests will learn of the famous faces who once donned a Hanna Hat and afterwards, guests can browse the collection in our shop and have the opportunity to own their very own Hanna Hat.

Larger groups and those that don’t have a lot of time but are looking for an authentic Irish experience.
The tour itself will take 20-30 minutes, and we recommend allowing an additional 15 minutes for guests to browse our shop afterwards.
Minimum of 5 pax, maximum of 20. If you have more than 20 pax in your group, we would suggest splitting the group in two, half come to us and perhaps half go to Donegal Castle and then swap. If you have group with less than 5 people interested in this experience, please contact us for more information.

Private Tours: First come, first served.
Tours are available during our opening hours: Monday-Thursday: 8am-5pm and Fridays: 8am-1pm.
General Tour Experience group bookings must start before 4pm,
Luxury Tour Experience group bookings must start before 3pm.
On Fridays, General Tour Experience group bookings must start before 11:30am,
Luxury Tour Experience group bookings must start before 10:30am. Tours are not available at the weekends or during annual holidays: last week in July, first week in August, and during the Christmas period.

Accessibility: Hanna Hats’ tour is suitable for wheelchair users. Flat footwear must be worn, heeled shoes are not permitted. Please be advised our toilets are not wheelchair accessible.
Parking: Very limited parking is available up at our workshop. We would advise cars to avail of on-street parking on Tirconaill Street and advise small buses and coaches to drop off at the end of our laneway and park at the pier in Donegal Town (10-minute walk from Hanna Hats Workshop).
