The Donegal Touring Cap Patchwork Linen is a streamlined, tailored fit cap ideal for those who prefer a slimmer silhouette. The style sports an integrated, stitched-down curved peak and a deep back for a secure fit.
This style is inspired by the long-ago common sight of men riding their bikes whilst going on social and work errands. Whereas we do not recommend our Donegal Touring cap for cycling these days, it is ideal for keeping the sun from your eyes and keeping your head dry as you go for walks, run errands, and take leisurely drives.
Just like the head that wears this cap, each one is totally unique!

Material
Linen, which is made from the flax plant recognised by its “wee blue blossom”, has a long history in Ireland stretching back to the 1st millennium, and it was one of the main industries during the plantation of Ulster from the 1600’s. There are only a handful of mills producing Irish Linen today, and we are proud to support this ancient industry.

The photos tell the story. I’ve bought 11 hats from Hanna Hats. When it is on, it is ON. Four of them however have been a miss. When you get it right, it’s a hat I never want to take off. All in all, very displeased with the consistency.
If you are going to make a patchwork hat it takes attention to colors and lines. If you make a hat with a pattern or linear grain you need to run it true front to back.
I don’t recommend Hanna Hats anymore because I don’t want people pissed at me because of a bad recommendation. I’ve had that happen twice now.

I recently purchased an Erin cap in patchwork tweed which arrived at my door on Christmas Eve. I fell in love with that hat and have worn it every day since. I wear it so much I was already starting to worry what I was gonna do when warmer weather arrives here in the U.S. So I purchased a Donegal touring cap in patchwork linen I can go to for warmer weather. Wow, I really love this one too!! This is my second Hannah hat. My wife and girls even brag on how much better my 2 Hannah caps look and fit my head compared to my cheaper flat caps I have worn in the past. All I can say is I love my hats. Hi, unfortunately the hat is still slightly too big, even after I sent it back to you for the size to be changed as I am in-between your small and medium sizes, and I have another of your hats from years ago which is small and has always been too small, although I never sent that one back... It seems in previous emails you said I cannot return this, so I am not sure what to do about the size still being a bit big.

I bought two. One was perfect, the second one had loose threads, for the cost it should have also been perfect.
Both are the same size but fit slightly differently too.

I’m buying for the quality of the wool not the quality of the metal addition.
This was my first Linen Patchwork Hat I ordered and I wasn't disappointed. I had asked if it was possible for certain colors to be incorporated in the hat and they came through for me. I love wearing my hat in the summer as it's lite to wear and stylish. Long story short, purchased a Irish tweed walking hat from a good will store twenty years ago! The best hat ever and still wearing to day. I wore a beret in the early 70's during my military day's, that was a proud hat to wear. My wife gave me a brown Irish tweed that I been eyeing years, so many complements beautiful wearing. so I purchased another vintage tweed cap and a patchwork Donegal touring cap. So all you men and women stop and just buy the HANNA hats they are so beautifully made. They wear and fit better than you could ever imagine! Linen, it’s lighter than my usual hats and is ideal for the warmer days. I went for the Donegal touring cap style which is a little thinner in width and has a more streamline peak which is again great for keeping the sun out of my eyes.
The patchwork design works with the colours I wear and looks great too.
It’s soft, light and fits better than I had hoped, my next hat will be the same style touring cap, hmmm what colour should I go for.
As always Great service overall from Hanna Hats, delivered quickly and no fuss ordering.

The best hats I have ever found. I get so many compliments bc the style and quality are sound. My father is a wise man and led me this way..... trust me. These hats stand out - true craftsmanship every time.
Hanna Hats could provide a better service by allowing the customer to choose from some of the different patchwork hat options available rather than choosing on the customers behalf.
The product is a good quality but the absence of choice is an X mark for Hanna Hats online business model.
If some customers want the "lucky dip" option then this can also be an option.
Choice for the consumer should be at the fundamental core.
