The Connery Cap Linen is a unisex cap made from eight triangular panels which represent an old-style spinning wheel, and a flat, flexible peak which is made from recycled plastic.
Material
Linen, which is made from the flax plant recognised by its “wee blue blossom”, has a long history in Ireland stretching back to the 1st millennium, and it was one of the main industries during the plantation of Ulster from the 1600’s. There are only a handful of mills producing Irish Linen today, and we are proud to support this ancient industry.

The Connery Cap was inspired by our favourite Mr. Bond (sorry Pierce!) and style icon, Sean Connery. Connery was frequently photographed sporting neat bodied Newsboy caps both in the Scottish Highlands and in cosmopolitan cities, making this a truly versatile style.

This is my first Hanna Hat. I got it as a birthday gift to myself. My wife asked me to get something that I would not normally wear, so after going through all of the caps I settled on the Connery Cap. I am so happy I did. This is a fantastic cap, and a perfect weight for the summer months. I prefer a curved shape to the peak, so used hot water to reshape the plastic inserts. It holds the new shape perfectly, and I think the curve really adds to the hat’s character.

My first Hanna Hats caps and I loved them, the linen feels quality and thick, it came wrinkled but it is easy to fix with a little steam. In black, I don't know why, it has a somewhat smaller cup than the others I have bought at Hanna Hats.

I love my new linen Hanna hat - when wearing it I look like John Wayne in 'The Quiet Man' - very pleased indeed. I bought a woollen Hanna hat many years ago - bought in the Bugatti Museum in Mulhouse in France - and when worn backwards I look like Dick van Dyke in 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang'.

The fit is great, it looks good. Blew away my expectations.
Fabulous hat! If in between sizes, go up a size. Runs smaller than the flat caps. I love the classic look of the hat, the quality sewing, and the linen quality is top of the line. Highly recommend getting one. I have one from another company from England (L and Co) and the Hanna is just as nice for half the price, if not nicer. For the quality, the brand power, and the pride in the company, you can’t beat the value. Have over 10 of their hats now and will keep coming back.

The hat was all that I expected especially given your reputation. One question about size, I have a couple of hats that say the size is 7 7/8. I ordered the xl size from you. Should I have gone a size up?
